Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community

How to Apply

Primary admissions

We are a non-selective Academy open to pupils of all religious faiths and those of no faith.

Admissions at Oasis Academy Hobmoor are co-ordinated under the Local Authority Admissions Policy via the Birmingham Local Authority website.

If you are a parent or carer and wish to apply for a Reception place  at Oasis Academy Hobmoor for the following September, you will need to complete the Common Application Form via the Birmingham City Council website:

www.birmingham.gov.uk/school-admissions

We welcome initial enquiries from parents and carers who would like information regarding admission to the academy and our waiting lists.

Nursery admissions

Starting Nursery is a big step in a child’s life. Some children find leaving home for the first time quite difficult. This is normal. Our staff are experienced in working with parents to make this transition as smooth as possible. Inductions into the setting vary according to each child’s needs. We look forward to working with you.

All children will be allocated a part time place. We are able to offer Monday - Friday. Morning session -  8.45am until 11.45am or a afternoon session 12.45pm - 3.15pm

There are 3 intakes throughout the academic year (September, January and April) with the main intake being September. Children are admitted the term after their third birthday. However, if spaces are available, it is possible to be admitted throughout the year. If there are no spaces available, your child’s details will be kept on our waiting list and you will be contacted as a soon as possible when one becomes available.

Please come to the school office and get an application form or email us requesting one. Due to covid restrictions you will currently need to fill this form in at home and when you bring it back to school we will need to see your child's passport or birth certificate (originals no copies) and proof of address dated in the last three months e.g. a utility bill, phone bill or bank statement (as long it's the roof under which the child lives).

Want to come pay us a visit?

We always welcome visitors at our Academy, so please check back to find out when our open days are!

However, if you are unable to visit on an open day, or we aren't currently advertising any we are able to cater for parents and carers by special request.

Get in touch with the school office today and we'll be pleased to arrange a date with you.
